Salt Poisoning Abortion:
The Dictionary of Modern Medicine defines a saline abortion or "Salt Poisoning Abortion" as the, "Voluntary termination of pregnancy during the 2nd trimester, effected by replacing 200 ml of amniotic fluid with 200 ml of 20% saline solution, which stimulates uterine contraction, followed by fetal delivery in 12-24 hrs."

Salt Poisoning Victims a.k.a. "Candy Apple" Babies
This technique was originally developed in the concentration camps in Nazi Germany. (source: Abortion and Social Justice, NY: Sheed & Ward, 1972). It is a procedure most often used after the first trimester (first three months), the abortionist injects a strong salt solution directly into the amniotic sac (fluid surrounding the baby). The baby breathes and swallows it, is poisoned, struggles, and sometimes convulses. It takes over an hour for the baby to die. The mother delivers the dead baby in a day or two.
Why are they sometimes called "Candy Apple" babies?
The corrosive effect of the salt solution often burns and strips away the outer layer of the baby's skin. This exposes the raw, red, glazed-looking subcutaneous layer of tissue. The baby's head sometimes looks like a candied apple.
An Instillation Abortion or "Salting out" as it is sometimes called, is the second most common method of inducing abortion and is usually used after sixteen weeks according to information provided about SALT POISONING (SALINE INJECTION) abortion procedures at ProChoice.com. In this procedure, originally developed in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany (David C. Reardon, Aborted Women: Silent No More, (Westchester, IL: Crossway Books, 1987), 96), the doctor inserts a long needle through the mother's abdomen and injects a saline solution into the sac of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby. The baby is poisoned by swallowing the salt and his skin is completely burned away. It takes about an hour to kill the baby. After the child dies, the mother goes into labor and expels the dead baby. In spite of the horrible burning effect, some babies have survived "salting out" and been born alive.

Gianna Jessen Targets Obama for His Voting Record
In 1999 it was discovered that an Illinois hospital was putting babies who had survived their abortions on shelves in a utility room until they died. Subsequently, the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act was introduced in 2001 to provide legal protection and the right to medical care to all born babies, whether they were wanted or not.
Then-State Senator, Barack Obama, voted against the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act 4 times in 3 years and was the ONLY Senator to speak against it on the Senate floor in 2001 and 2002.
In 2002, the Federal version of the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act passed unanimously in the US Senate and by overwhelming voice vote in the House. Even the pro-abortion group NARAL went neutral on the bill. But in 2003, Barack Obama voted against the identical version of Born Alive in Illinois. Then, for the next 4 years he repeatedly misrepresented his vote until it was recently discovered in the IL General Assembly archives and Obama's campaign admitted the truth to the New York Sun on August 18, 2008.
